Magnetotherapy

  • Magnetotherapy explained - part I

Magnetotherapy as well as magnetostimulation is a type of physiotherapy that uses a magnetic field to influence the body. Within the mammal body (human as well as horse or dog) substances known to be responsive to magnetic fields are hemoglobin (protein in red blood cells), some enzymes and free radicals. In terms of use of magnetic fields for therapy, the best known and understood are stimulating effects on cellular respiration and tissue regeneration processes.
